Brooks F. McCabe, Jr., CCIM serves as Managing Member and Broker of Record of West Virginia Commercial, LLC, and as General Partner of McCabe Land Company, where he directs the firm’s brokerage operations and provides strategic oversight of its commercial real estate portfolio across West Virginia.

Over the course of his career, Brooks has built a reputation as one of the state’s most experienced commercial real estate professionals. As a broker, developer, and investor, he has guided the acquisition, leasing, redevelopment, and long-term management of office and mixed-use properties throughout West Virginia, with a particular focus on strengthening urban business districts and preserving the long-term value of well-located assets.

His approach to real estate is grounded in an ownership perspective. Rather than focusing solely on transactions, Brooks emphasizes disciplined underwriting, strategic repositioning, and steady asset performance across market cycles. This philosophy has shaped both the growth of the McCabe Land Company portfolio and the advisory work West Virginia Commercial provides to property owners and investors.

As Broker of Record, Brooks oversees brokerage activity and complex leasing transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining the firm’s commitment to thoughtful, relationship-driven client representation.

Brooks holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, one of the most respected credentials in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing advanced expertise in investment analysis, market strategy, and commercial real estate finance.

In addition to his work in brokerage and investment management, Brooks has long been active in economic development and civic leadership throughout West Virginia. His career reflects a sustained commitment to strengthening downtown communities and supporting long-term regional growth through thoughtful real estate investment and development.

Kristin Dent serves as Associate Broker and Portfolio Manager at West Virginia Commercial, LLC, where she plays a central role in the leasing, financial management, and strategic oversight of the firm’s commercial real estate portfolio across West Virginia.

With a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and more than a decade of experience working directly alongside veteran developer and broker Brooks F. McCabe, Jr.,  Kristin operates at the intersection of brokerage, asset management, and property operations. Her work spans the full lifecycle of commercial real estate—from financial analysis and operational management to lease negotiations, capital planning, and long-term portfolio strategy.

Kristin is responsible for the financial and operational management of the McCabe Land Company portfolio, a collection of office, mixed-use, and investment properties throughout Charleston and Fairmont, WV. In this role, she oversees budgeting, financial reporting, property performance analysis, tenant relations, capital improvement planning, and operational execution across multiple assets. Her experience managing McCabe Land Company‘s portfolio and her background in accounting allows her to approach real estate from an owner’s perspective, with a focus on disciplined financial management, asset preservation, and long-term value creation.

In addition to her asset management responsibilities, Kristin is actively involved in brokerage and leasing strategy for West Virginia Commercial’s clients. She regularly works with business owners, investors, and institutional tenants to structure leases, reposition underperforming assets, and guide strategic real estate decisions. Her ability to integrate operational knowledge with financial analysis provides clients with practical, data-driven guidance throughout the transaction process.

Kristin is currently completing the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)—one of the most respected credentials in the commercial real estate industry and widely recognized as the gold standard in property management.  Kristin will be the only active commercial real estate broker in the state with the CPM designation. 

Her professional experience uniquely spans the full spectrum of commercial real estate operations. She manages everything from day-to-day property management and building operations to complex financial analysis and long-term portfolio strategy—an uncommon combination that allows her to bridge the gap between operational execution and ownership-level decision making.

Kristin has been recognized for her contributions to community development and downtown revitalization efforts in Fairmont, West Virginia, including receiving the 2024 Pierpont Award for her work supporting economic development initiatives.
