West Virginia Commercial led the effort in the early 1990’s to revitalize the Summers Street corridor in downtown Charleston. The culmination of that effort led to the construction of Summers Square, a 39,000 square foot building constructed in 1994. This was the first major development on Summers Street in the 1990’s, which at the time was a very stressed crime ridden street. This project started the redevelopment of Summers Street into the vibrant location which it is today.
